Australia has committed to reducing carbon emissions by 43% by 2030 and hitting Net Zero by 2050. The resource industry is a key contributor to national carbon emissions and needs to take action.

High-emitting coal mines, deemed Safeguard facilities, must also reduce carbon emissions 4.9% every year between 2024 - 2030.
